Sorry!!!!

Sorry I haven't posted in a couple weeks. Andrew is working on two teeth right now. They both appeared a day apart and he isn't that happy. Besides the two teeth coming in he has mastered to scoot backwards and he hasn't figured out how to go forward. He will scoot himself all around the house if he could. The other day he went form the fridge and scooted backwards around the island and started down the hall towards the garage backwards. I had fun watching him do it. Andrew can now sit himself up into a sitting position when he is laying on the floor. But the one thing that he is getting good at is standing on all fours. He hasn't made any motion yet like this but it is fun to watch him get himself into this position. Sometimes he has his legs to far apart and he gets off balance. I enjoy watching the progress that Andrew is making everyday.
David only has two and a half weeks left of summer school. He is excited that it'll be over. Once this class ends he'll have a week off before the fall semester starts on August 27th. I'm still working away at Albertsons. The company has finally come up with a contract that gives me a raise and better benefits. I'm glad that there has been an agreement because that means that we don't have to go on Strike again.
There really isn't a lot going on right now. We are just going day to day trying to survive.

New Pics!!

Andrew is now on his way to trying to crawl. He has gone from sitting up with no problem to turning his body and falling on his face. David and I believe that he will be crawling this next month. We just can't wait for him to be getting into everything. Well, here is the update on David. He has finished his first five week summer school class and he starts his next classes tomorrow. I'm still at Albertson's and nothing to exciting has happened to me.
The one sad thing is that our company has left this morning. David's younger brother and his family were in town this last week visiting everyone. Now we have to wait till they save up enough money to fly back into town. We were sad to see them go because we enjoyed to time that we had to spend with them. Maybe we will see them again when Andrew turns one. Maybe just maybe.

Celebrate the 4th of July

Every year we go to San Diego to Celebrate the 4Th of July! We left our house at 9 am on the 4Th and got to San Diego by lunch time. There was no traffic at all on our way down. Andrew slept the whole way down there but woke up when we got off the freeway. After some lunch we headed down to the beach for Andrew's first beach experience. I sat him down on the "wet" sand just out of the wakes. He was doing great playing on the beach. He was picking up the sand with his left hand and playing with it. When a wake got strong enough he would get a little wet. He only had three wakes hit him the whole time that we were at the beach. He really didn't like the water much because it was on the colder side for him but we survived. After the excitement we went back to the beach house to take eat some more and to take naps. (Well, Andrew took the nap.) We all just hung out, watched movies, played at the beach and ate food. We had dinner at 8 pm and everyone went down to the beach at 9 pm to watch the fireworks. David and I stayed back at the house to put Andrew down to sleep. Once Andrew was asleep we went up onto the roof patio to watch the fireworks go off and the surrounding areas. Once they were over we loading into the car and headed back home. We got home at 1 am and Andrew woke up at 7 am. So much for sleeping in.

Fooling around!!

This last week I went with David to the UPS store to ship some stuff out that he had sold on Ebay. While we were waiting for our stuff to be packaged to decided to weigh Andrew on their scale. According to their scale, Andrew weighs 15 lbs. We should of asked then how much it would cost to mail him to some relatives but we figured it would cost a lot to ship Andrew out. The packaging alone would be a lot to make sure he got there okay. Okay we were just joking don't call child services on us. I could never go that long without my baby. I miss him enough when I go to work. But he really does weigh 15 lbs. I'm looking forward to everyone coming down for the 4Th of July. I'm curious how he will be with all the people in the house and all the excitement going on. I figure that he wont want to take a nap because he might miss something. But I guess we will just have to see how everything goes.

Well, the updates for the our small family.....
David- has been going to school for three weeks now. He only has two weeks left of this class and then his next two classes start the following week. He will have five weeks of those classes then a week off before the fall semester starts.
Andrew- is able to sit up on his own for longer periods of time. He tends to fall over every time that he gets excited or when he is reaching for things. But he is getting better everyday. We are into the fruits now and he is doing okay with them. He really liked the veggies and he is so-so with the fruits. But only time will tell. He has gotten the timing down on his jump-o-roo and will jump for short periods before getting upset. He has been sleeping longer at night. He will go to sleep at 9 pm and not wake up until 7 am. (Then go back to sleep at 8 or 9 am.) Me (Stephanie)- I'm still working at Albertsons on the night shifts. I work at the customer service desk and have a hard time keeping busy. For the time being I am working over in the Floral department until they hire a new person. There I have my work cut out for myself. But it keeps me busy. When I'm not at work, I'm home with Andrew and keeping him entertained. I have lost all my pregnancy weight and I'm back to a size that I haven't seen in three years or so.

Shopping!!

This last week I went clothes shopping for some new church clothes. It was also a good reason to go and call this outting as a post-pregnancy shoppong spree. I was very good at only buying what I really needed and only looking at what was on sale. I got three outfits and I bought almost all of it at Anne Taylor Loft at 60% off. I did get one shirt to match a skirt at Macy's that was 50% off and then another 15% off that price. This next week I'm planning on going out to look for a new bathing suit but we will just to see what happens. Tomorrow I'm going to have a makeover by a Mary-Kay rep that I meet at work. Well enough about me.
David has been in summer school for two weeks now and he has his mid-term on Tuesday. I know that he will be fine because he knows everything that is being taught. (But wish him luck on his test.) When he isn't working on school work or helping me with Andrew he is working on his car. This last week we got his car back for being painted. It looks so clean and shinny. He is hoping to have it put back together by October so he has some time to finish.
Andrew is teething a lot more or drooling like a fountain. Every time that he smiles or opens his mouth this stream of drool just flows out of his mouth. I keep checking his mouth everyday for a sign of a tooth. All the book say that babies usually get their first tooth at 6 months. Well, he will be 6 months next week. Maybe in the next week. Besides that he is healthy and doing good. Nothing really too new to report. Maybe another time next week, sorry.

Busy Days!!

David started school last week. He is taking a Math class that is five weeks long and has three days worth of homework for one day when he comes home. On top of school work, he still has to make time to ship stuff that he sells on Ebay and help me with Andrew before I have to go to work in the Evening.
Today Andrew has been sooo tired that he will eat and pass out where ever he is. At the moment, he is asleep in his high chair again. We were in the middle of eating his veggies when he started to fall asleep. We are now giving him Sweet Potatoes and he seems to enjoy eating them. I have about one more day worth of Sweet Potatoes before we move on to Carrots. So far we haven't run into anything that he is allergic to. We just have a couple things that he just doesn't like much.
My days at home consisted of waking up at about 7 am and bringing Andrew into our room to watch the Disney Channel. Then after David leaves for school at 8:30 we go down stairs to eat. If he hasn't fallen back asleep we play a little bit. I put him in his jump-a-roo, or sit him on the floor to play with some toys. (So I guess you can say that I really don't get much house work done when Andrew is awake. Even when he falls asleep, I tend to nap with him.) A few days a week we go up to the pool to do some swimming around 11 am. When we return from the pool Andrew gets a bath and usually takes a nap. We play some more and nap some more before David gets home. When David arrives home from school right now at 1 pm. He does a couple hours of homework and I leave for work at 4:30 pm. I arrive home to a sleeping a baby at 9:30 pm. David and I watch a movie or some TV and go to bed. (Sometimes, If all goes to plan.) I know it doesn't sound busy but time does fly by.

Happy Baby! Well Sorta!!

After posting my first post today, we tried turning on a movie for Andrew to calm him down enough to fall asleep. It didn't work very well. He just sat there and watched one of his Favorite movies,"Happy Feet". When we just need him to fall asleep he always performs. But today was different. He would watch the movie for a little bit and then start to scream. I would lay down with him and he would calm down. I would then sit him up and he would watch the movie. Then after a couple minutes he would get uninterested and start to scream. After doing what I had to do, I took him down stairs to eat. When we almost got through his bowl of cereal, he passed out. This only lasted for 15 minutes when he woke up screaming. So much for getting him to take a nap. But doesn't he look so comfortable in his new high chair. Anyways, we finally got Andrew to calm down and go to bed at 9 pm. This consisted of giving him the rest of his cereal, giving him a bath, letting him whimper for 20 minutes in his crib, giving him some milk and turning on a movie in him room. We put him down in his crib and turned on "Happy Feet" again and he passed out. Yeah!!! He'll probably wake up later for Food but that is okay because he is asleep now.

Crabby Baby!!

Today was Andrews 4 month check up. (even though he is five months old now) But before we went to his appointment we stopped off at Toys R' Us to get a high chair. It took way to long for the employee to find the chair for us that we were late getting to Andrew's Doctor's appointment. It wasn't that late and it all worked out just fine. He got four shots today. He started to scream once the Doctor started his examination and I had to calm him down before the real pain started. Andrew was doing fine until the Nurse came in with his shots. Once she walked up to him to prep for the Shots, he started to scream again and didn't stop until it was over. Besides the shots we found out that Andrew weighs 13lbs 13Oz's and is 26 in long. He is catching up to the 50Th percentile in his length. So that was some good news. He's a healthy baby boy and nothing is wrong with him. He is just crabby from his shots and doesn't want to take a nap. For the past three days I have been feeding Andrew some Green Peas. He's doing okay with them. I can't tell if he likes them or not. He is making faces at first but continues to eat the whole jar. I also have been trying to also feed him cereal too during the day. So he is getting two meals of solids a day with milk the rest of the day. That is the main reason why I went out and got a high chair. He seems to like it.

First time at the Pool!!

Now that our pool has finally opened this last weekend. Andrew and I went for a trip to the pool. I say that it is a trip because we have to walk up a steep hill to get the pool. I definitly get my exercise going to and from the pool. But once you get there the view is wonderful. We went with Jennifer and the kids before they flew home, here are a few pics...

We had a blast playing in the water for the first time. I just bought Andrew this swim suit and hat at Old Navy last week. It took a little while but Andrew got used to the temerature of the water. He then started to have fun and laughing. We were only at the pool for 15 minutes and it was just long enough for us.
