Fun imagination

Story told to me bye David!
The kids were playing in the back yard yesterday. Kaitlynn was jumping on the trampoline. Andrew was driving around the little coup car. Then Drew turned on his sirens. He drove his "COP" car over to the trampoline. Climbed out and onto the trampoline. Grabbed Kaitlynn and took her from the trampoline. Put her on top of his car. Turned on his sirens again as he moved toward the sliding glass door. Stopped the car and took Kaitlynn off the top of the car and put her in jail. (In side the house) After being put in jail, Kaitlynn proclaimed that she didn't want to be in jail so she "Broke out" and went on playing outside.

Supercross 2013

Every year we make a point to go to one Super cross race while they are close to home. This year we had plans of going to Dodger stadium again but they are still under some remodeling. So they moved it to Anaheim for a third race this year instead of the normal two races. We got seats in the club seating which was better them the first time we went to Anaheim where we sat in the middle class seats. This in the view of the track from our seats.

The bonus to where we were sitting was the fact that Miss Super cross roams around this area to interview fans. She pulled the kids that were sitting in front of us to interview them.

We definitely can't wait to go again next year and really want to hit Dodger stadium next year. Till next year!!

Magic Moutain 2013

Were able to make our first trip of the year to Magic Mountain. The kids were so excited to get the opportunity to ride some rides.

We hit all the regular rides. The Merry go round was first on the list.

Then to Ninja where I had to yet again tell Kaitlynn that she isn't tall enough to ride the ride yet. She is almost to 42 inches.
SO we waited for Daddy and Andrew to ride the ride. Then the routine after Ninja, we go on the boats. It was cold and no the right weather for it but we went on Jet stream anyways.
Then we made a stop bye Gold rusher to check Andrew's height. Almost to 48 inches.

We then hit, the buccaneer and then to the kiddy area. Both kids are tall enough to ride all the rides and us parents don't have to ride.

Before we left, we had to get a picture with Daffy and bugs. We were only there for maybe 3 hours, but for our little family, it was long enough.

Mammoth Moutain

Monday Morning the 7th, David and i woke up at 4 am to make the 4 hour drive to Mammoth.
We got onto the mountain around opening time at 8am.

We hit the top of the mountain once. It was really windy and cold at the top!
WE spend most of our time hitting all the tree areas we like to snowboard in. We went from one side of the moutain to the other. We killed out legs that day. It had been 7 years since we hit the slopes and we worked hard. We snowboarded from opening to closing. Then we drove home. What another long day!

Trip Idaho/Las Vegas/Home- Day 3 and 4

We woke up on Thursday the 3rd at again 7am Idaho time. Packed up the car and drove to my Grandma's "New home" at 9:10 am. Grandma had an appointment to go to the hospital for a procedure that morning. We wanted to see and visit with her before to left town. Definitely not a room or place to take two curious monsters. They wanted to pull and push every button or sting that was in her room.

When my dad came to pick up Grandma, Andrew helped her get into her wheelchair. They he insisted on pushing her out to the car. I told Andrew to go when we into the hall, and he definitely went.
So we said good bye and started our drive back to Utah.

WE stopped at a New Del taco and it had a play area. The kids had fun running around and having a familiar meal. A funny story: The kids were playing in the play area. WE hear some of the other kids yelling for their mom and emergency. Their little brother comes down with a bloody nose. Andrew follows shortly after. The parents ask what happened? The two older boys turn around and point at Andrew and say "That boy punched him in the nose". So we ask Andrew to go over and say his sorry to the little boy and put Andrew on a timeout. Once the area cleared out, I went up to the top and saw the problem. There were punching bags up in the play area. I'm not sure the punch was intentional but I was surprised that Andrew gave someone a bloody nose. The End!
So we continued our drive and drove to Provo, UT. We were in search of some activity sticker books for the kids to do in the car. We stopped at the Provo mall. While coming out of the bathroom right there inside the cold-stones/cinnabun store, the roof started to pour a ton for water into the mall.
We walked the mall but found nothing. We then drove down the street to Toys R us where we found what we were looking for. It was now 3 pm and we were already in Provo. We were suppose to drive back up to Salt lake Area to stay the night with David's friend Glen who JUST moved into a house there. But we felt like it was a nice idea but they haven't even had time to unpack and everyone was overwelled. We also were going to stop bye David's sister, Marianne's, but she too was back toward Salt Lake. We changed both of those plans and just continued our drive to Las Vegas to spend the night. Both the kids were in good spirits and were happy to be heading home.

We stopped in Saint George to eat dinner. I had called ahead to order our pizza so it was ready when we got there. It was 8pm at night and everyone was tired. We had reservations at the Excalibur Hotel in Las Vegas. It was nice to sleep in a bed and be able to sleep in a little bit.

Day 4:
We woke up and drove the 6 hrs home. We stopped off at Charlie Browns for some milkshakes. We arrived home just in time to see the Shepherds leaving. Unpacked the car, and relaxed the rest of the day.

Trip to Idaho- Day 2

The morning started like every other morning. The kids both woke up at 7am Idaho time. I got up with the kids and made them some breakfast. Then we waited for everyone else to wake up and start their day too. Once everyone had woken up and it warmed up to a wooping -4 degrees, we got our snow stuff on and went out side.

It was very cold overnight and my poor car was frozen! (Yes we are parked in the backyard)
My parents, the kids, David and I all hit the snow. My cousin Logan was going to come out with us, but as we were heading out at 10:45 am he remembered he had a Dr appointment at 11 am. But we told him we would go out later.

We used sleds to go down the little hill in the backyard. But at times the kids just went down with nothing. They didn't care how they went down, they were just so excited to play in the snow again.

After some hours of playing outside, we went back inside to warm up and wait for Great Grandma to come.
Once she arrived at the house, we took some time to hang out with her. Kaitlynn was so excited to see her and spent so much time in the room. Andrew was eating lunch when she arrived and took a little more time to say hi.

But we got a nice picture of Grandma with Andrew!
After the first outing in the morning. My dad and David drove around the small town looking for some good snow gloves for Kaitlynn. But none of the stores had kids gloves, so we got the next best thing, Hello Kitty Duck tape. We ended up taping Kaitlynn's gloves to her jacket. He gloves would separate from her jacket and get her hands wet and cold. The duck tape took care of that problem and made for an enjoyable second adventure outside in to what was now 0 degrees.

Grandma watched from a window while we played outside. She told us that she really enjoyed watching us and the kids playing outside. My cousin Logan was able to join us this time and he built a snow cave for the kids. They thought it was the coolest thing.

After another couple hours with it getting late in the day, we called it quits and we retreated back into the warm house. For the rest of the day, we watched TV, ate some dinner and visited with Grandma. It was a long but fun filled day. We were able to visit with family and the kids went to bed fast.
