Recap part 4

December 23th to 28th: Texas Christmas
We spent our first Holiday in Texas. We were lucky enough to have my parents drive from California to spend the Holidays with us. They drove two days and arrived safe and sound on Thursday the 23rd.

The events that followed that weekend weren't normal Texas weather. Friday, Christmas was a perfect California christmas. Then the weather got crazy.

We went through our first Tornado warning and had one touch down two miles from our house. It was a fun adventure with my parents in town.

December 30th, 2015: Andrew turned 9
At the last minute I decided to have our first big party at the house. We were lucky enough to have some neighbor friends drop bye to help celebrate Andrew's 9th birthday. We had about 20 people at the house and it was just fine.

It was the best Birthday ever. We cooked up some chicken, ate some cake, played some games, and opened presents. Andrew was one happy kid. While my parents were in town. We celebrated my moms birthday too. Her's is the day after Andrew's. My parents took Andrew and Kaitlynn to see The new Star wars movie and I made dinner. We celebrated the new year bye watching movies with my parents.

Recap Part 3

 July 31st to September 25th, 2015: A place to call Ours!
 David found a house within two weeks after we moved to Texas. This house was still in the building stage so we had to wait till it was done being built. So made it a fun trip to visit the house while it was being finished every weekend.

 This is the state of the house when we decided to buy it. So we have to wait about a month before we could move into the house. We didn't mind to wait since we had the Apartment for the time being. But the house had to finish by October because our lease on the apartment was going to end.

 House is finished and we get to move in once all the paperwork is finished. We moved in at the end of September and we had a couple weeks to clean the apartment.

Now that we moved into the New house on September 25th, 2015. It was time to finally get Andrew into school and to Transfer Kaitlynn to her new school.

October 9th, 2015: Anna is 2
Shortly after moving into our new house, we celebrated Anna's birthday. We hadn't met too many people so this party was also just our family.

 We ended up buying Season passes to Six flags, so that is what we did to celebrate Anna's day. We only went on rides that Anna could ride. This was the first time that we went to Six flags over Texas. It was a fun, short trip and we will have to return again.

 We have a Frozen Birthday theme and Anna was one happy Girl! Happy 2nd Birthday Anna!!

Recap part 2

 July 12th-July 17th, 2015: California to Texas
 So I quit my job at albertsons and took three weeks to pack up our stuff. We did three trips to Goodwill to donate a lot of clothes. After much cleaning and packing we were ready to move. David had excepted a Job in Texas with Lockheed Martin at their Missile and firearm location.

So on July 12th 2015,we said our goodbyes to California and drove to Arizona.

We were lucky enough to stop for a day and a half with David's brother Darren and his family. We visited with family while we were there. We left Arizona on July 14th and we drove through Arizona into New Mexico. We stopped for Lunch in New Mexico. After lunch, David and I decided to drive till we couldn't drive anymore.

We ended up getting to Odessa, Texas before we stopped for the night. The next morning, July 15th, we drove the last several hours to Mansfield, Texas.

We stayed two nights in a hotel until we were able to move into our apartment while we looked for a  home. We only moved some of stuff into the Apartment on the 17th while the rest of our stuff went into storage. David started his new job on the 20th and we started looking for a house. We had three months to find something.

August 16th, 2015: Celebration in Texas

 August 16th, 2015 Kaitlynn turned 6. Since we had just moved to Texas and in a small apartment, we ended up having a party with just our small family. We took Kaitlynn to Chuck-e-cheese to celebrate.

After the kids ran around chuck-e-cheese and had a blast. We returned back at the apartment to eat cake and open presents. Once presents were opened we face timed with the grandparents. Then next week Kaitlynn started her first day of school.

 October 9th, 2014: Anna turned 1

November 22, 2014: My Grandma Romney's funeral

So on November 21st, David and I were suppose to fly to Salt lake city for my grandma's funeral. We took the flyaway to the airport. But the freeways were not nice this evening so we missed our flight. We were 10 minutes too late to check in for the flight. There wasn't a flight to Salt lake till the morning and we would be on Stand-bye. IF we made that flight we would Arrive in Salt lake at 9 am and the funeral was at 9 am. So we made the decision to go back home and we jumped into the truck. We started driving to Utah at midnight and we drove through the night. So, I had already been up since 3 am and we are driving through the night. David and I arrived at the funeral home around 8:30 am and made ourselves presentable for the funeral. 

 

After the funeral and grave service, we did a family lunch at the Spaghetti factory. When all was said and done, David and I went to the hotel (sharing a room with my parents) to sleep till the next day.

December 30th, 2014: Andrew Turned 8

 

April 8th, 2015: Spring Break

So this year we decided to go camping. David and I got a reservation at Buena Vista to camp a couple night. We worked it out with my parents that they would camp the first part of the week at the same campsite that we reserved. They camped Monday to Wednesday. We drove up early Wednesday to camp Wednesday to Friday. We hung out with my parents the whole day on Wednesday going out on the boat. It was a fun day.

The lake was empty this week since Bakersfield wasn't on their spring break till the following week. It was pretty quiet camping days. The kids rode their bikes around and rode over the playground to play. They also would play in the water. When we weren't on the shore, we were out on the boat tubing and wake-boarding.

May18, 2015: Graduation

David finally made it to the end. David has graduated from Cal State Notrthridge with his Mechanical Engineering Degree. We did it!!

 June 8th, 2015: Disneyland
 My parents decided to take the kids and I to Disneyland. It was a very exciting day.

July 4th, 2015: San Diego

We did our yearly trip to San Diego for the 4th of July. We visited with family, played at the beach and  ate great food.
