Our little HAM

I was cleaning up some of Andrew's toys downstairs. I took the top of the toy box off, so that it would be easier to put the toys inside the box. The top was sitting on the couch and Drew thought that it would be fun to lay inside the lid. I went to get the camera when he suddenly got out. He ran and got his blankets so that they can be in the picture too. It was so cute he climbed in and posed for the picture.Once I took the picture he ran over to look at the picture. He was so proud of his picture that he climbed back into the lid to take some more.

Another Dr appointment

So I had another Dr appointment today. This was another ultrasound where they measure the growth of the baby. My last measurements were done four weeks ago. If I remember correctly, I will be having these measurements every two to four weeks. Yes we still are having a girl and we still are only having one baby. (We had to ask.) We also asked what our tentative delivery date will be and the Dr said "Mid-August". Then we told him about David having to start school on the 24th of August. The Dr said that I will most likely will have the baby before then. Still no official delivery date.
So this next week I have that dreaded Glucose testing. I am not looking forward to sitting around in the waiting room of the lab office for an hour and having to drink that horrible glucose drink. I just have to figure out what morning I can go in to get the test done.

Drew update:
He is entitled to development for an hour a day twice a week and group assessment two hours a day once a week. We still are waiting to see what his speech therapy will be. We met with our case worker on Monday and have set goals for Drew. The goals that we set aren't anything that he wont be able to reach. I think that they are small but important goals. She even went over with us with what will happen when he turns three and if he needs more help. I really don't see Drew not talking two word phrases by the time he is three. He has been trying to speak more and more lately and we haven't even started his therapy. The other day he said clear as day, "I want my mom." Drew has been using his signs more lately as well. We will just have to wait and see.

EDIT:
We got the official call about Drew's speech. He is entitled to two days a week of speech therapy. So that will be three days a week of Development and twice a week of speech. Two days a week will be at our house and the other days will be at the center here in town. All we need is the call from the center to set up the appointments. I feel that once we start, Drew will make some good progress.

Everything since the last post

Okay I have been busy with my Dr appointments, Appointments for Drew and work. Sorry that I haven't posted anything for several weeks.

So anyways, I finally got Drew evaluated for his delays. Today was his speech Evaluation. At the end I found out that his speech is that of a 1 to 1 1/2 year old. So he is behind in his speech, in that case he qualifies to get help. Two weeks ago was his Development Evaluation. He is almost on track for where a two year is suppose to be. He just has a lot of frustration because he can't communicate. He also qualified for help with his development. I still have to wait for the write ups of his evaluations and to hear when we will start his "Help". Besides all that, Drew is doing just fine. Oh ya, he has his second set of molars coming in right now and that too isn't helping his "anger problems."
(This is Drew watching one of his movies.)
At my Dr appointments the baby is doing fine and I am gaining weight. I have only gain a total of twelve pounds so far. When people see that I am expecting and they always ask when I'm due. I tell them that I'm due in August and they look at me funny. Then they say that I am small for being due in a couple months. I then just have to tell them that I just don't get that big. The little one is an active one and even David has been able to feel her moving around. I think that she has already picked out Drews little voice because the other day she was still and when Drew woke up from his nap and made noise, she just started jumping around. We'll just have to wait to see how Drew takes the new baby. At work, our GM manager has been on disability for a month now. Before she left, I was doing her job because she wasn't doing it. (Long story) So since she has been out, we got someone from another store that has been filling in as the GM manager. It has taken a lot of work off my back since I am pregnant. I now only have to focus on a small part of the GM manager duties now. If this employee from the other store stays at our store, the department wont be such a mess when I return back to work after the baby is born. We will just have to wait and see.
