6 months...half way there

My little girl is 6 months old today. I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. We have started here on the vegetables. So far she doesn't like Peas but she will eat squash and sweet potatoes. She eats about 5 to 6 times a day. She is a mom's girl. When I'm working my long days at work, she just gets tired of Daddy and just wants her mom. I don't blame her, I'm the food and comfort for her. She has mastered the rolling and has been determined for a month to start to crawl. We are getting so close.

She weighs about 14 lbs now and wears some 6 month clothes but can also wear 3-6 month clothes. I just depends on the brand. She just loves her brother so much and he is slowly warming up to her. It'll be fun once she starts to move more and faster. Kaitlynn is very opinionated and has no problem expressing how she feels. I think that she is getting her first tooth because she is very crabby and I swear that I can feel one. But we just will have to see.

My Big Boy

Andrew is taking the bus to school now. The only sad part is that he gets on the bus at 6:25 and school doesn't start until 7:45. He is the first kid on the bus and the last to be dropped off at home at 12:45. But he is just having fun ridding the bus and is doing so well in school.
David getting Andrew from the bus
Andrew is saying "Bye" to the bus driver.
Happy to be home

Since he has started school, Andrew has been wanting to wear underwear like his friends. So we have been trying to potty train him. We have stated out with just getting him to the bathroom to change his diaper and then just sitting on the potty. We have put him in underwear several times and have tried to get him to the potty on time but he just wont go when he needs to at this moment in time. The only time that he will go when he needs to is before he gets into the bath or shower. So we have taken the plunge into potty training and it's going to be a long road.

Andrew's first Day...or week

I know that you all have been waiting to hear about Andrew's first day of school. Since I have been totally lazy to post anything about it, I thought that I would sum up his first week of preschool. For those who didn't know, Andrew started school at Leona Cox Elementary school.
He goes Monday through Friday from 7:45 to 11:25.

Monday: He had a good day! He fits right in with his classmates. He took his time going to circle time but only sat for a few minutes before he got too antsy to sit. He went through all the centers for a least a few minutes. When I picked him up at 11:30 he was crying. He fell apart for the last 15 minutes of class. It was a long day for him.
Tuesday: This a difficult day for him. He didn't want to do anything that he was suppost to. The only good part of the day was Recess and playing with the other kids. When class was over, he wasn't crying.
Wednesday: This was another rough day for him. He enjoyed playing with all the toys, puzzles and things. After snack time, he packed up his backpack and tried to leave. His teacher tried so hard not to laugh because it was so cute. Andrew cried because He couldn't leave just yet but he got distracted by the toys. He is doing so good after only a few days. When I picked him up from school, he said bye to his teacher. He also showed interest in the bus.
Thursday: This was a much better day for him! He sat in circle time and for the music with out falling apart! He even made it through O.T. as well! Andrew made some progress! He walked out to me holding the teachers hand and was waiting on the wall for me to pick him up. He said bye to his teacher and his O.T. therapist.
Friday: This was the best day so far. He sat during centers and circle time with some participation as well. The only sad part was that he wanted to go on the bus with his classmates. They were short handed and left him in class while they took the other kids out to the bus and that broke his little heart.

This next week I am still going to be taking him to school with the hopes that we get a call from the district to get the information for him to take the bus with all his friends.

LONG Sunday

Yesterday was a hard day for Andrew at church. Since he is now three, he went to Sunbeams and not the nursery. Also we started our new time of church at 1 pm and not 9 am. Andrew's whole schedule was messed up and it will take some time for him to get used to his new schedule. After Sacrament he went to run to the nursery room but I told him to go to primary. That started the first meltdown. Once I got him in the room all was fine until he went to leave before it started. Now here is the second meltdown while I carried him back in. One of his teachers (he has three teachers) gave him a fuzz ball the calm him down. Everything was fine until they went to move to class time (there are nine sunbeams in his class). That was his third meltdown and David walked him to class. During the last hour Andrew managed to have his fourth meltdown and we let him go to nursery. He lasted a good amount of time. Then while I was with him in nursery he stinked his diaper and a meltdown followed when I tried to go and change him. After the change he went back to nursery for the rest of church. We are going to see if he can get into the schedule of church again. It's going to be a rough couple of weeks.

Merry Christmas 2009

Well, Christmas day was a blast. Andrew got it this year and was opening everyone's presents. He was so excited once he got the concept. When he started down stairs Christmas morning he was kinda excited and didn't know what to think when he saw this around the Christmas tree in the morning. But once we showed him about opening presents it went from there.
Once this present was opened, all the other presents could wait.
Andrew got snow boots and all the gear so we can go to the snow on his birthday.
After we were done with our morning presents we headed over to my parents house for more presents and breakfast. We forgot the camera so no pictures from there house.

Group Class 2009

Andrew had his last day of Group Class for the Year! My little guy is growing up and moving on to Pre-school next month. He will start on the 11th of January.
Here is Andrew and his Friend J.J. at circle time
After Andrew put his picture on the board. He was so proud of himself
After opening circle time they get to go to the gymAfter gym they wash hands and eat their snack. Since today was Andrew's last and it was Christmas time, they got cookies and cupcakes.
Once everyone is done with snack they clean up and have a craft. This week is stockings.
I'm so proud of my little guy. He has done so well this year and really has improved. Andrew has been talking more and using his signs. On a side note....Andrew has been sick for a couple weeks. We were tring to make him feel bettter but he got worse. Saturday night he woke up coughing really bad. When we brought him into our room I saw these red spots around his eyes.
(you may have to blow it up to see)
Andrew was coughing so hard that he broke blood vessels around his eyes. David took him to Urget care when they oppened on Sunday. Andrew had a really bad sinus infection. He is doing much better now.

She weighed in at.....

Some milestones that she has hit.....

-she is rolling over from back to her stomach
-talks a lot
-loves her brother. smiles and laughs at him all the time
-she sleeps from 9pm(or so) until about 6am on most days
- she is a wiggly baby. The only time she is not moving is when she is sleeping.

I just wanted to share how my kids looked today for Church. I just would like to say that Kaitlynn got a ton of looks. She was just the cutest baby at church today. She was trying to move way
