Soooo.....this is what I'm having

I think that I will just post a teaser. The baby just wants to say "HI".EDIT: This is the head and face shot....

So we went to my Doctor's appointment today. We asked the Doctor so see what we are having. He asked us what we think we are having. Of course we said "A BOY". Then we went into detail why we want it to be a boy. "The family tradition on David's side of the family is that none of the siblings have had two consecutive same genders for the first two babies." SO the Doctor said that we will just have to see if we would be following in the family tradition or if we are going to break it. The Doctor never came straight out and told us what we are having.

Okay......I know that I'm being mean. Here is another shot of the baby.
EDIT: This is the crouch shot.

Last thought......David said that Carrie will be the last for us to tell. :) This is Carrie's hint.

Day at the Farm

Last Tuesday, we had an Enrichment activity at a members house. They have a kennel for dogs and raise horses. We went over to their house in the afternoon to feed the horses and have pony rides. Drew was so excited. He paid attention to the horses and even tried to feed the horses a couple times. Drew just ended up throwing the carrots at the horse but at least he was interested. It was all about the animals until he noticed the Rhino golf cart. I couldn't keep Drew away or off the cart. He just played on it the whole time. I did get him on a horse for a ride. But we didn't go anywhere. I sat him on the horse to see what he would do, we took a few pictures and I was about to say to the them to start to walk. But this crazy girl from our ward came over and pulled Drew off the horse. I was so mad and annoyed.

Happy Easter!!

So we had our First Easter Egg hunt this year with Drew. It took him a little bit to get the concept. But once he got it, he would find the eggs and run over to me to put it in his basket. I started to through them back out so he could pick up more. But he got over it and took the jeep off-road on the grass. We all had fun! My parents came over to watch Drew pick up eggs. Thanks MOM for the Pre-filled Easter Eggs!! I will be using them again next year. We didn't wait for The Shepherd's to get home to do the hunt. Maybe next year we can have all the Grandparents there for the Easter Egg hunt.

Then here are two pics that we took last week.(April 3rd) I was lazy at uploading them onto my computer. One of the sprinkler mains broke and Drew had a fun mud puddle to play in.

Baby Update

The baby is very active and is moving every night. This is a new experience for me because Drew wasn't a mover and I never felt those "First movements". I have been felling these movements since I was 16 weeks. At 17 weeks, the Doctor asked if I was feeling the movements and I replied with a yes. Then he responded with, "Are you sure they are the baby?" and I said "YES". So far, I haven't gained that much weight. I haven't gained 10 lbs yet. At my appointment on Tuesday (31st) the nurse had me weight myself and asked for my weight. I told her so that she could write it in my chart and she replied "You haven't gained any weight since last week". I replied with "Isn't that kinda a good thing." She smiled and said very slowly "Well, Yes." Then after the Doctor finished her ultrasound exam, she asked me about my weight. She was concerned that I wasn't eatting and that I have been sick. I replied with "Yes I am eating food and No I haven't been sick. With my last pregnancy, I had a Doctor that told me not to gain anymore weight. So this is a change for me." She just smiled and said "I understand".

Now to what Everyone has been so politely asking me, "DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE HAVING YET?"
The baby is not being very cooperative right now. At my Dr appointment last Tuesday(31st), the baby turned it's back to us and crossed it's legs. I said to the Doctor, "My husband wanted me to ask if it's a boy yet" and she laughed. She replied with, " The baby isn't cooperating today." We will try to look again on Tuesday(7th) and if the baby still isn't cooperating, I have me 20 week Gestational Ultrasound in two weeks (15th). SO I will find out any day now.

Just a short post

Drew has been getting closer everyday to talking. Yesterday he was trying so hard to say a few words. Then this morning I heard him in his room working on the sounds again. Just maybe he will be talking just a little by the summer. I can't wait until he can tell me what he wants, so that the tantrums diminish. That would be a very nice blessing for the both of us. I've been just to tired to deal with the screaming.

**UPDATE** David put in a call Yesterday(2nd) about Drew. We are waiting on a call back. We will see when we are able to go in and get him tested.

My little Guy is learning to Drive

We finally charged the battery on the car and we have been trying to get Drew to Drive. Yesterday while I was inside, I heard the car moving and Drew behind the wheel. He took the car for a ride around the backyard. He went forwards and backwards and crashed several times. He was having so much fun. I didn't have anytime to get the camera.
So Today I was bummed because I wanted to get it all on film and it was raining. But it finally stopped after church. After we ate some dinner Drew went to work. ENJOY!

Hair Cut

Drew got a hair cut last Sunday and I have been dropping the ball on putting up the pictures. His hair got to the point where I HAD to do is hair everyday. At church, his hair would drive me crazy because the back stands up and it was tickling my face every time that he would move his head. I just couldn't have him sit on my lap again at church until David cut his hair.
BEFORE

AFTER
I think that he looks a totally different age with his hair cut short. He just grows up when we cut it but I'm much happier now that it is short again. Now I just can spike his hair when I feel like it. I don't have to do anything if I don't want too.

These last two pictures are just too cute to leave out of the post.

Some Random Drew pics...

These are just a few pics that David took of Drew a couple weeks ago after church. He has been looking more and more like a toddler instead of a baby.

Then these sets of pictures are from later that day when we were playing with Drew. When Andrew gets excited he runs around the downstairs of the house. When he was running back into the kitchen, from the hall that leads to the garage, he spotted David. When Drew saw David he turned to run away, but the wall got in his way. Drew ran into the wall at full speed and was thrown to the floor.

These are the recent nap time pics without the side rail and Drew passed out on the floor.

Well, It finnally happened: Part 2

Today before I left to come home from work, I called to talk to David. He informed me that when He went to get Drew out of his room at 4pm, Drew was passed out. Now he wasn't in his bed sleeping, he had made himself a bed on the floor and passed out. (This bed consisted of diapers, blankets and dirty clothes.) This is very very rare for Drew to do a thing like this. He isn't the type of kid that passes out on the floor. I was going to take a picture when I got home but he decided to wake up at 5:40. This is the first nap that he has taken with no side rail on the crib. Now bed time is a different story. Drew has no problem sleeping in his bed, it is just his naps that we have a problem. It really hasn't been that hard to get him use to a "Big Boy" bed. He really loves his bed.

Now I didn't add this to the last post, when we put Drew in his room to sleep we shut his door. We turn the DVD player on at night. This way when he wakes up in the morning he turns the TV on and watches a movie until I'm ready to get out of bed.
