Part 2: The ZOO

While we were in San Diego we took a day to go to the zoo as a family.

We got to the zoo right after in opened and got on their bus system to see all the animals. By going early morning you have the opportunity to see the big cats walking around.

 we were able to see the lions.

The elephants.

Warthogs

Black bear

Rhinos

Giraffes

Koalas

After the bus ride, we took the sky tram to the polar bears.

Then a quick look at the white fox because that was one animal Andrew asked us to go look at.

 

 It was fun day and everyone had a blast.

A well needed vacation: Part 1

 This year we had the opportunity to stay in San Diego for a week. We left after I got home from work. We managed to pack a week worth of stuff in our truck.

 Usually when we drive pass the shore and the naval base, we see some cool stuff. This helicopter was flying down the freeway and landing next to it. When we got to San diego, we unpacked what we needed to spend the week in the house we were staying at. We were lucky enough to also have a heated pool at this house and it got used A LOT!

 One of our lazy days we had a silly string fight. I think David got most of the attack.

Just down the street from our house was this cool tank.

Last Day of school

This month Anna Learned to climb up the stairs. Anna also stood by herself. This is the start of things gettting crazy. I wondering how long before she is on the move.

Kaitlynn Graduation

This month Anna learned to sit up unsupported. She started to wave hello this month as well. Anna is also on her way to walking. She started to pulling herself up to a standing position.

Anna is not too happy

It has been a while since her last teeth came in. So she is making up for lost time bye getting FOUR teeth. Yes there are four coming in. It would be an understatement to say its going well. She is not a happy camper

Disneyland 2014

 On Wednesday May 7th, we took the kids to a "Surprise". We skipped school and went to Disneyland. Once the kids realized where we were going they got so excited. We got to the park about 11 am. We decided when we got there to just do fast passes and wait in lines. The lines weren't that bad. First order of business was to get fast passes to Star tours. Then we did Buzz light year.

 Our first roller coaster was Space mountain. Andrew loved the ride because it was in space. Andrew just loves space right now and this was right up his alley. Kaitlynn didn't quite like it because she said it went too fast. I think it is because she couldn't see the where she was going.

 Then it was time to hit Star tour. David and I haven't been on it since it reopened. SO this was a new experience for all four of us. WE got lucky and got the front row. This too was a hit with All of us. After star tours, David ran down and got fast passes to Splash Mountain. I got in line for Jungle cruise, then did haunted Mansion , and then our fast pass for splash mountain. Haunted Mansion was not a hit with the kids and they do Not want to go on it again. Splash mountain was good but Kaitlynn didn't want to get wet so we had a little meltdown when she got splashed. Once we were done we grabbed fast passes to Thunder mountain. By now we all were hungry and ate some lunch. (We hit 6 rides before lunch.)

 Since we had time to waste till our fast passes to Thunder, we went over to the Castle. Kaitlynn just wasn't going to smile.

 Oh there is that smile!

 We went on Dumbo and then the Carousel. That is always a fun small ride.

 After the carousel we went over to Tom Sawyers island. The kids had fun running around. Once we wasted enough time we went on Thunder mountain. Kaitlynn got checked three times to see if she was tall enough for this ride. We really enjoyed this ride. By now it was 5 pm and Andrew was asking to go home. SO we went over to hit some rides again.

We did Buzz light year AGAIN, Star tours AGAIN (without a fast pass) and the Rocket ships on our way out. We were in the car and on our way home by 6:30pm. Not a bad day!

This month Anna crawled on her knees. Not all the time but started to do it for a couple movements but the move back down to her belly because she is faster.

This month Anna started to crawl on hre belly. Or what we call "Army style". We have a mover!
